cthlogoAuburn faculty and students are actively engaged in fusion energy research for the production of electrical power. Auburn scientists have interests in the experimental, theoretical and computational aspects of plasma physics research. We study the physical processes that affect the behavior of hot, magnetically confined plasmas with the ultimate goal being the achievement of controlled thermonuclear fusion. We have had and continue to enjoy good working relationships and collaborations with fusion facilities both in the United States and throughout the world.
